The Friends of the Blindman River have sent many letters to Alberta Government discussing:
• Water management concerns;
• Policy and regulation updates that are needed to better protect our basin;
• Creating more equity with water licensing; and
• Upholding the government to protect the well-being of our community and freshwater.
Correspondence between the Friends of the Blindman River and the Minister of Environment and Protected Areas (AEPA):
- June 6, 2025 – Response to the AEPA discussing short-term and long-term regional water management goals
- May 21, 2025 – Follow-up letter from AEPA addressing regional water management concerns
- February 26, 2025 – Response from the AEPA to water licensing and management throughout the Blindman River watershed and throughout the province
- July 8, 2024 – Water licensing and management throughout the Blindman River Watershed and the province
- May 23, 2024 – Response from the AEPA to water licensing in Lloyd Creek during a Stage 4 drought
- April 26, 2024 – Water licensing in Lloyd Creek during Stage 4 drought
