- The current flows of the Blindman River, Lloyd Creek and other rivers in Alberta.
This information is often referred to in water licence conditions, so it’s important to know where to find it.
Environmental Records Viewer
To view current water licensing information, please visit the Alberta Government Environmental Records Viewer website at https://geospatial.alberta.ca/erv/?page=Water-Act. On this website, you can find:
- Approved or pending water licences issued by Alberta Environment and the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER); and
- Current water licence applications.under review.
Public Notice of Application Viewer
To view current temporary water diversion water licence applications (TDLs), please visit the Alberta Energy Regulator website at https://webapps.aer.ca/pnoa. Temporary water diversion licence applications are required to be posted on the website for 30 days.
There is very limited information on this website. If you would like to know the source of water, or the volume of water being applied for, you must contact the applicant to request a copy of the application. Any statement of concern must then be submitted to the AER and the company, all within 30 days.

If you believe a company is not complying with water licence conditions based on water flow data or licence details, please report it by calling the Alberta Environment Hotline at 1-800-222-6514.
